Received a urgent piano servicing request at the morning, client informed that it would be a special event serving a group of VIP with performing artist involved.
Making special arrangement, I rushed to the disclosed location and realized it is the residence of Consulate General of Mexico.
I was greeted by the invited artist, Mr. Esteban Alvarez, a Jazz Pianist from USA. (Mr. Esteban Alvarez is also a Steinway Artist) He than told me on all the problems he encountered on the piano and concluded that Regulation was needed.
But Regulation on grand piano will take 4 full working days while the event would be starting in 3 hours time…….
It means that I will have to do all I can in 3 hours and make this piano up and running.
I would not say it has become perfect but it would be the best it can be after working on it for only 3 hours.
Oh…. I have forgot to take photo with Mr. Esteban Alvarez due to the tight schedule of this event.
