I have successfully passed the membership examinations conducted by Pianoforte Tuners’ Association in June 2015.

By July 2015, all registration procedures are completed and thus I have officially become a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) under the mentioned organization.

Why you are encourage to hire or seek advice from Registered Piano Technician (RPT)?

The field of piano technology is an unregulated trade, in other words, anyone can claim himself to be qualified or professional.

What is Registered Piano Technician (RPT)?

The title of RPT must be earned by passing a series of tests. These tests are to demonstrate a person’s capability to carry out tuning / repairs to a very high standard.

Therefore RPT is NOT qualified by himself or the company he is working for, but qualified by a reputable professional body.

Piano owners are encouraged to use RPT as assurance of their underlying skills.
